In season 2021-22 my works are performed by the Klangforum Wien (Austria), Auckland Philharmonic (New Zealand), Ensemble Contrechamps (Switzerland), Der Gelbe Klang (Germany), Ensemble Mise-En (United States), Alter Face (Spain), Duo Hav (Sweden) in their Nordic Tour and in Finland by the Tampere Philharmonic, Jyväskylä Sinfonia, the Finnish Baroque Orchestra, Zagros Ensemble and Nyky Ensemble.
My orchestral work gained a recommendation at the Unesco International Rostrum of Composers in 2019 in Argentina. My works have been performed at Festival de Royaumont, Eclat in Stuttgart, Tage der Neuen Musik Bamberg, Mise-en Music Festival in New York, Gaudeamus Muziekweek in Utrecht, Archipel in Geneva, Klang Festival in Copenhagen and at the DR, SWR and BBC radios.
My work is focused on ecological composition. I am pursuing a doctoral degree on the subject at the Sibelius Academy where I also teach composition. I studied composition with Veli-Matti Puumala at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and privately with Georges Aperghis in Paris. I complemented my studies in masterclasses and workshops held by Hans Abrahamsen, Helmut Lachenmann and Georg Friedrich Haas.
I work closely with with world class ensembles and soloists such as Der Gelbe Klang (DE), Lapland Chamber Orchestra (FI), Ensemble Mise-En (US) and Janne Valkeajoki (FI/DE), Yumi Suehiro (US), Olga Heikkilä (FI) and Lucy Abrams-Husso (FI/US). In addition to composing, I produce the Klang Helsinki concert series, teach composition at the Sibelius Academy, and work as a sound artist in the Earth Ears ensemble.
My first portrait record will be out in 2022 by Naxos/Sibarecords.
